Details

We will hold this quarter's meeting at Manatee Community Foundation. Join us to learn more about GIS, how your colleagues apply the science of where, and to build new acquaintances.

Jeff Pace - Mapillary Street View Imagery and KoopJS
Mapillary is a crowd sourced street view solution for group level imagery that incorporates automated data collection and AI/Machine Learning for feature extraction. KoopJS is an open-source NodeJS based application for converting third-party APIs into ESRI compatible Feature Services. This talk will show how we can bring these two tools together to display street-view imagery in ESRI maps.

CJ Reynolds - The Tampa Bay Regional Resilience Coalition
In October 2018, The Tampa Bay Regional Resilience Coalition was formed and currently include 6 counties and 21 local governments. Collecting, curating and managing data related to changing conditions and trends in flooding, ecosystems, economic impacts, community vulnerability, human health, energy, infrastructure and transportation is crucial to defining current and future risks, and creating effective resilience plans, capital improvement strategies and budget decisions. This session will give a brief update on the Regional Resilience Coalition and current research grants. Then, we will have a brainstorming session to discuss needs and ideas for supporting potential regional-local approach for data, mapping and infographics development.
