About us
The orchid family (Orchidaceae) is one of the largest flowering plant families on earth with about 28,000 species! Orchids are beautiful to look at, many smell wonderful, and they can be surprisingly easy to grow, especially in Southwest Florida.
Most of our monthly meetings include an orchid expert or vendor as guest speaker, about 100 blooming plants of different varieties brought by members for judging and awards, opportunities to take orchids home, and light refreshments.
Our annual Orchid Show and Sale (each March) is a highlight of our activities.
