Orchid Club - April meeting (open to public)

GCOA Board Member and Director of Education John Finer will discuss “The Path to the Perfect Orchid,” detailing his techniques and success with creating new hybrid orchids (48 so far!).

John is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science at The Ohio State University and Courtesy Faculty in the Ecology and Environmental Studies Department at Florida Gulf Coast University. He serves on the Education Committee and Research Committee of the American Orchid Society. John also has a YouTube channel where he is “The Plant Propagator” and a business called “The Orchid Propagator."

The meeting is open free to the public.

Members will bring in about 100 blooming orchids for monthly judging awards. Light refreshments will be served.
