The Frog and The Monkey with Moonshine (IFKYK)

Overview:
A little over an hour boat ride followed by a short walk to shop and lunch in downtown Mt. Dora.

Details:
Launch in Lake Eustis at Buzzard Beach Boat Launch. Navigate thru Dora Canal into Lake Dora into Lake Beauclair then into Lake Carlton to circle lake and return to Beauclair. Proceed to Mt Dora public dock. Walk to Maw's Mountain Moonshine (shop briefly) and then to The Frog and The Monkey for lunch. Return to Buzzard Beach Boat Launch in Lake Eustis.

Background:
The Harris Chain of Lakes is a waterway system that leads north to the Atlantic Ocean, through the Ocklawaha River and the St. John’s River. It’s made up of Lake Harris, Little Lake Harris, Lake Dora, Lake Eustis, Lake Griffin and Lake Beauclair, and we should not leave out the Dora Canal, Dead River and Haines Creek. Technically the Harris Chain of Lakes starts with Lake Apopka and includes Lake Beuaclair and Lake Carlton, the Beauclair Canal and the Apopka Canal. All of these waterways are navigable and open to the public
