Talk:
Running Kafka Connect on the Cloud

Abstract:
Kafka Connect is a tool for scalably and reliably streaming data between Apache Kafka® and other data systems. This talk focusses on deployment models for Kafka Connect, typical cloud architectures and what it takes to run it on the cloud robustly in a production grade manner. I will go into some of the problem areas you might want to think about from our experience doing the same at Confluent.

Bio:
Abhinav Agarwal is a Senior Software Engineer at Confluent in the Connect team. As an early engineer in the Connect team at Confluent India, Abhinav has extensive experience in building Kafka connect connectors, connect framework, cloud architectures and Kubernetes. More recently, Abhinav has been working on re-arching the control plane of Confluent's managed connectors offering
