Talk:
Kafka, Flink, Iceberg, DuckDB, MCP, Claude, LangGraph, AI AGents - Connect the Modern Data Stack with Generative AI tools and AI Agents

Abstract:
The first section of the session would explain the components required, to build a modern data stack with a data streaming platform and analytics capabilities, using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Iceberg, PyIceberg, PyArrow and DuckDB.

The second section of the session will dive deep into Model Context Protocol(MCP) and would explain how to build tools using MCP to add conversational capabilities on top of Data Platforms using Anthropic Claude, LangGraph AI Agent and AWS Strands. This session would also compare AI Agent driven workflows and introduce the emerging possibilities around SRE Bots.

Both sessions would have demos and will be code heavy (mostly python and SQL, with a little Java, if time permits).

Bio:
Developer Advocate at Confluent. Designed and implemented ‘Modern Data Platform’ for large scale enterprise use cases. Works at the intersection of Data(Spark, Flink, Kafka, Arrow, Iceberg, Glue, Hive) and AI(MCP, pytorch,sagemaker,vertex ai, LLMs) at cloud scale (AWS and Google Cloud).
