Build Real Time Recommendation Pipeline for E-Commerce website/app

Abstract:
Today, I’m going to talk about monitoring Kafka.

Not just what Kafka is, but how we monitor it effectively by focusing on infrastructure metrics and Kafka application metrics, and how bringing these two together helps us understand system health, performance, and reliability.

The goal is to move beyond dashboards that just “look green” and toward monitoring that actually helps us catch problems early and debug them faster.

Bio:
I’m a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud, DevOps, and SRE. I spend a lot of my time working with distributed systems — building them, operating them, and occasionally breaking them to understand how they fail.

I’m particularly interested in how systems behave in production: how they scale, how they fail, and most importantly, how we observe them when something goes wrong.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me brewing coffee with my Aeropress ☕, watching movies, TV shows, or anime 🎬, or trying — and sometimes failing — to get out of a reading slump 📚.
