For many of us, the journey with food sensitivities, IBS, celiac, or simply trying to understand what our body needs goes far beyond food. It touches our social lives, our emotions, and how we see ourselves. Sometimes it can even feel a little lonely.

Gut Talks is a gathering in Amsterdam for people who are learning to understand their bodies and how food makes them feel. It is a space to share experiences, swap stories, and find support among people who truly get it.

I’m Rafaela, and a few years ago I completely changed my health and energy by changing the way I ate. What surprised me most was how much this kind of change affects your relationships and sense of belonging. Turns out celiac disease and other food sensitivities are true social diseases.

I started Gut Talks because I believe we need more spaces where we can talk openly about this journey and help each other make sense of our bodies. I’m on a mission to help people understand how their bodies react to food better, with a bit more compassion and a lot more connection.

• Honest conversations about food, health, and everyday life
