Lacey/Olympia/Tumwater Writers Publication Workshop

Details
Join us for a monthly in-person workshop at the Timberland Regional Library in Lacey. We're a supportive and friendly group that welcomes writers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
WHAT WE'LL DO:
Our goal is to guide you on your publishing journey. We'll start with a brief hello and then dive into understanding and developing your personal publishing goals.
Some example activities include:
- Deciding whether to submit work for traditional publish or to forge your own path with independent publishing
- Tracking submissions using Submittable
- Developing your monthly, quarterly, or annual goals for publishing
- Understanding the different routes for publishing flash fiction, short stories, poems, chapbooks, novels, and non fiction works
- Developing query letters
- Figuring out if you need an agent and how to find one with whom you'll be able to work well
We're a positive, encouraging group. Some writers have published many books, while others are not sure where to begin. Regardless of where you are in your publishing journey, you will be valued and find value in this gathering. New members and drop-ins always welcome.
Please note, RSVP counts may not be accurate. This event is shared across multiple meetups. Christina or Kelsye will be writing at the table even if there are no visible RSVPs.

Every 1st Friday of the month until July 2, 2025
