What we’re about
Gynecological cancers can be a lonely experience. If you need to connect with others who are going through a journey with GYN cancer (ovarian, uterine, endometrial, breast, etc.) and live in Northern Va, let’s make it happen. I have OC and so this group is not solely for breast cancer which has many more patients and likely groups. However all gyn cancer patients can bring unique support to each other and knowing people who “get it” irl is better than just virtual.
I’m hoping to find at least 3 other women interested in connecting. Activities will be both in person and online, to make sure that physical disability or a really bad day don’t break the connection we build. I’m thinking right now a mix of video meetups, IRL coffee/lunch, and for those of us that can and want to, walks. I’m open to suggestion- this community is for us.
Intended for women living in Northern Va. Anything I personally organize will be in Alexandria. However hopefully as we grow we will have volunteers to organize meetups in other parts of NoVa
