Rustic Camping + the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge

Details
While this might not be most people's idea of fun, if you are up for some conditioning hikes in a rustic and peaceful campground, come join us for a few days or an entire week of exploring at a Catskill Forest Preserve. We will be boondocking at Little Pond, site 15. During the week, we will be participating in the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge. Climb all six before Dec 31st and you get a patch: https://dec.ny.gov/things-to-do/hiking/catskills-fire-tower-challenge. The firetower hikes vary in difficulty; this is NOT for beginner hikers. Our plan is to do all six in a 3 to 4 day period depending on weather and hikers' willingness to climb (hills/stairs/mountains). In between, there is swimming and kayaking and checking out local breweries and some campfire socializing.
Must be a H3O member to attend.
NOTICE: By attending an event you are agreeing that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. No member of the group EXCEPT YOURSELF can be held responsible for any damages, accidents, or liabilities incurred while hiking with us.
Remaining campsites are limited: https://dec.ny.gov/places/little-pond-campground-and-day-use-area
Below is a description of the Campground:
Nestled in a remote area of the Catskills, quiet, picturesque Little Pond Campground shows off the pristine beauty of the mountains. The Beaverkill, a world-renowned fly-fishing stream, is within minutes of the campground. Nature lovers will enjoy the leisurely hiking trail around a 13-acre pond and the opportunity to venture along trails leading to the ruins of an old farm or enjoy breathtaking views atop the Touchmenot Mountains. Most campsites are heavily wooded, with walk-in and boat-in remote sites available for those who prefer more primitive camping.
.
Recreation:
Excellent hiking opportunities are available, from within the campground or from nearby trailheads. Non-motorized boats are welcome, and anglers may fish for panfish.
Facilities:
Each campsite has a picnic table and fireplace. There are NO ELECTRIC hookups. There are water spigots, restrooms, hot showers, a trailer dump station, and a recycling center. A swimming beach available. The park also offers volleyball and basketball courts, a soccer field, playground, horseshoe pits, ice and firewood sales, a boat launch, and rowboat, paddle boat, kayak, and canoe rentals.
