Templin and Thomas P Bentley Nature Preserves, Exploratory Hike, 6-8 miles

Please join me in an exploratory hike of two small preserves in Chester County. We will start off on the Great Marsh Uplands Nature Loop in Templin Nature Preserve. Once we complete the loop we will hike along a country road to the Thomas P Bentley Nature Preserve. This park offers the opportunity to see the ruins of an old iron furnace which was constructed in 1737. The south branch of French Creek also meanders its way within the park. Once we complete the loop in this preserve we will walk the country road back to our starting point. Overall this should be between 7 and 9 miles and estimate about 2 miles on pavement. I consider the hike as moderate due to hills and distance.
