📓 SKETCHBOOKING & CREATIVE JOURALING WORKSHOP ✍️🌿
Hosted by Hà Minh, visual artist & poet

Pen and ink are traditional mediums that have been used for thousands of years, dating back to the time of the old masters. They are simple, versatile, highly expressive, and incredibly portable, making them perfect companions for sketching, journaling, observation, and creative exploration on the go ✍️🌿

You'll learn basic ink techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, creating textures, and exploring color combinations. You'll also be introduced to fundamental gel pen techniques.
The possibilities with a pen are endless. You can draw shapes, shade forms, build intricate patterns, or create rich textures.
From there, you'll combine the two mediums. Use pen over ink washes to develop texture, pattern, and form, or layer translucent washes over pen drawings to create softened, faded out, filtered, and atmospheric effects. Through this interplay between line and wash, you'll discover a wide range of expressive and unexpected visual possibilities.

This workshop is an invitation to explore sketchbooking and journaling as an intuitive daily practice, a space for observation, reflection, experimentation, idea generation, and creative play.
Rather than focusing on perfection or polished outcomes, this workshop encourages curiosity, habit-building, and developing a personal visual language through small everyday gestures.
