What we’re about
This is a group for anyone looking to find friends and socialise in Haarlem, Netherlands.
By the community for the community:
If you want to organise any events yourself, please get in touch and I will help you set them up.
We are a mixed group that meets for drinks regularly and also occasionally organises supping, hiking in nature, music nights, bake-offs, days out, picnics, bike rides, game nights and anything you can think of!
We want this to be a group where everyone feels welcome and a community is created where real friendships can flourish.
Join this group if you like smaller, cosier meetups with friendly people. We live in an impersonal age of technology and it can be really hard to make friends in a new place.
If you like larger gatherings with more people, have a look at ExpatsHaarlem. They organise drinks once a month which are generally much bigger.
We generally speak English, but we have many Dutch members as well.

We run on a donation basis to cover essential expenses, support events and keep the behind-the-scenes magic going.

In the calm setting of the Oosterkerk in Haarlem, pianist Koen Visser performs a selection of his own compositions.
His music was created in the quiet of lockdown: melancholic, melodic, and meditative.

During this lie-down concert, you will hear pieces from his new EP Fragments of Self, mixed with works by artists who inspire him, such as Ludovico Einaudi and Fabrizio Paterlini.
Bring a mat, blanket, or cushion and listen while lying down to music that connects and moves without words. The acoustics of the space do the rest.
