Japanese Bookbinding

Walk in is 15 min up front (14:45). Make sure you are on time, we start at 15:00. The workshop is in a small group of max. 6 people to ensure personal attention for everyone.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to bind a book in the Japanese style; this is a specific method of bookbinding, a skill you’ll take home with you so that you can bind anything you like at home.
At this workshop you have two options: We have notebook & drawing paper, we have some scissors, glue, double sided tape and magazines, you can also make a book from your own travel diaries, prints, personal texts, or simply a collection of papers for a new notebook.
Together, we will explore the tactile art of Japanese bookbinding, turning your loose pages into a beautifully hand-stitched object with its own soul.

The fee of this workshop is 39 euros. Your Application to the workshop is set after the payment of the link you find at the bottom of this form. This includes coffee/tea and a snack.

If the workshop is cancelled, you will be notified at least one week in advance. If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least one week in advance as well; otherwise, we will not be able to cancel your booking.
