Civic Hack Night at Mechanics Hall

Details
New theme and location! Once a month we'll discuss and work on civic technology at the Mechanics Hall Library. Civic Hacking is the idea of applying rapid prototyping and modern, open technology to the solution of common civic problems such as voting, budgeting, parking, transit, community engagement, etc., (to name just a few).
The Maine Charitable Mechanics Association is a 200+ year old private membership organization to support people who make things. Traditionally comprised of artisans and craftsmen, it has a long history of members (like Paul Revere) interested in the scientific revolution and civic innovation. And, it's now stepping into the 21st century with a renewed mission to provide community support, high speed (fiber) internet access, and meeting space for people who align with the modern makers movement.
So, come hack your city (in a good way)! Everyone is welcome! There are no rules.
