HTB Gainesville Initial Meetup
Details
Hey everyone and welcome to 2026!
Sorry for the delays on this first meetup, but November and December got really busy for me.
Goal for the meetup is to work collaboratively on various hack the box challenges using hack the box's meetup platform (where I can pick the boxes we will look at).
You do not need a HTB subscription to attend, but you MUST RSVP to me with your email address so that I can get the right number of vouchers from Hack the Box to hand out at the event. RSVPs will close Thursday February 5th to ensure I can get the vouchers from Hack the Box.
Goal is to get people that want to learn more about cybersecurity (offensive or defensive) hands on keyboard learning the tools to further your knowledge or your career. Networking with peers in the area cannot be understated either.
Initially we'll start in Gainesville as this is where I live and I have a space to meet here (Thrive Coworking Gainesville).
Bring a laptop (please RSVP) and even a chromebook can be used.
We'll go over the HTB platform, get people logged in, and I (and others) can help with questions, commands, approaches, exploiting, etc.
Meetup is set for 5 hrs as that is what I can have the space for. No need to stay the whole time if your schedule doesn't allow it, no worries. Plenty of places to get coffee, lunch, etc on the Gainesville Square too.
