### Hack The Box Meetup: Raleigh, NC, USA. #1 Introduction & Walkthrough:

Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the official Hack The Box community in Raleigh!
Whether you are a complete beginner just starting your cybersecurity journey, a student, or a seasoned expert, you have a place here. This first meeting is all about laying the foundation. I want to meet everyone, hear your goals, and ensure this group evolves to accommodate everyone—from those learning their first Linux commands to those hunting 0-days.

### The Agenda:

• The Vision Session: We’ll kick off with a group discussion. What do you want to get out of this? CTFs? Guest speakers? Specific tool deep-dives? mentors? help studying for a certification? Your feedback will shape our roadmap.
• Live Lab Session: We will dive into a Dedicated Lab, with easy and medium difficulty labs. We will have guided mode on the labs. (This will help point you in the right direction if you are at a stand still.) This is a perfect environment for beginners to learn the methodology and for pros to share their favorite shortcuts.
• Networking & Kickoff: Connect with the local infosec community and talk shop.

### Location & Logistics:

• Venue: Southeast Regional Library - 908 7th St, Garner, NC.

• Specific Spot: Adult Program Room.

• We have it scheduled from 12:15-1:30 It will be a fairly short meeting, with maybe a chance of staying later if no one is scheduled after us.

### What to Bring:

• Your Laptop: Ideally with a Linux VM (Kali or Parrot) or your preferred hacking environment.
• An HTB Account: Sign up for free at hackthebox.com beforehand.
• Your Questions: No question is too basic! We are all here to learn.

### Important!- Lab Access

• RSVP Requirement: When you RSVP, you must provide your exact HTB Username. I need this to manually add you to the Dedicated Lab for the session.
