There's been an awakening in the Web. Angular 2 has arrived and it's time to learn the key features that help you successfully build Angular 2 apps. We'll create an Angular 2 app from scratch, add components to track Star Wars characters, and configure routing between the views. The data may be needed throughout the app, so we'll create a shared service and use dependency injection to access it from the components. We'll also cover accessing data via HTTP, using metadata to describe components, and the new templating and data binding concepts in Angular 2. You may not walk out a Jedi, but the you will feel the power of the force.

> Angular 2's Fresh Approach to Style by Justin Schwartzenberger

Components pump through the heart of Angular 2, giving life to modularity in web application architectures. With modularity comes isolation of markup and css. The component architecture of Angular 2 has unlocked a powerful approach to style encapsulation and scope that is not often talked about. During this talk we will dive into how Angular 2 composites css together for components, what major advantages that gives us in how we approach styling our markup, and cover the different ViewEncapsulation options Angular 2 provides us.

> TypeScript: Angular 2's Secret Weapon by Dan Wahlin

It's no secret that TypeScript is getting a lot of press these days but what features does it offer that are so compelling? In this talk, Dan Wahlin will walk through key features that TypeScript provides that empower developers, allows them to identify problems upfront and ultimately helps release applications more quickly and with fewer bugs. Learn about the role of interfaces, generics, union types and more and see why TypeScript just might be your secret development weapon of choice for building Angular 2 apps!

> Angular 2 Universal Patterns by Jeffrey Whelpley & Patrick Stapleton

With Angular Universal, you can render your Angular 2 app on the server. This helps with SEO, makes your app more performant and provides several other benefits. However, building a “real” production Angular Universal app requires more than just the Angular Universal library. You need to follow certain patterns and best practices throughout your code. In this presentation, we will talk about our experience building large Angular 2 Universal apps and demonstrate some of the most important universal design patterns.
