Registrations here! An open sharing event for current and future job-hunters (at any level) looking for that next career or considering a switch to an alternate path. A great opportunity to freely discuss the trials, tribulations, and challenges in figuring out the kinds of work you want to do and the ways you go about finding appropriately fitting jobs and companies. The pressure is off as there will be no recruiters, or panels & speakers. We'll have auto-matched 1-on-1s, split into group sessions on core topics, and you can directly chat with other guests or make video chat requests too.
New: Both the 1-on-1s and the group chat sessions will now run simultaneously throughout the event, so you'll be able to jump from one to the other at will. We look forward to longer, deeper, and higher-quality conversations. See you soon!
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Ideal if you are (or are planning to be) looking for that next exciting role or are considering changing careers AND you want to connect with other like-minded folk on similar journeys. We'll commiserate together, share learnings and tips, find other common ground, and expand our network of good, passionate people. Great if you're already in or around tech, but also super helpful to others across industries as well. A sampling of the kinds of things we will cover, in no particular order:
► targeting the right roles and companies in your search + hot sectors & industries, and the functional areas of specific jobs
► cover letter and resume - content strategy, narrative, and levels of specificity<>vagueness
► career planning - from first jobs to switching to managerial positions to first director roles
► moving from technical to non-technical or vice-versa
► international vs. local hiring, out of province/state jobs, ‘local-remote’ is a thing, etc.
► how to get talent acquisition folk on your side, leaning authentically on your network
► what is the actual power or viability of trying to get that first ‘info/intro call’ outside of the recruiting process?
► Interviewing at startups vs. traditional companies, behavioral & aptitude testing in pre-employment screening - how recruiting is evolving
Funds from any attendee and session/booth tickets support our nonprofit's mission to continue uniting tech & developer communities. Thank you for your support! If affordability is an issue for any reason, please email us so we can help.
Don't miss this one - nice, friendly people from our tech nerd developer communities will come together. Tech Socials, 360s, and our other public events are agenda-free ad bring together passionate, like-minded people. Join us as we explore different ways of connecting! Laid-back & unpretentious, #ftw.

Event Series: The focus for this high-engagement Founder 360 event will be on startup planning across the entire spectrum of relevant strategy>build>growth>scale topics. Founder 360s give current and future entrepreneurs and small-business owners a gathering place to connect - a fantastic opportunity to flesh out challenges and ideas on their business journey. Similar to the way a mastermind peer-group engages, we bring together passionate, like-minded people for an informal, lightly moderated (for focus & guidance) and engaging few hours that allows founders to:
► Meet other supportive entrepreneurs in similar situations and build your network by sharing the hurdles and wins of startup life and to engage with folk across a wide range of experience and industries
► Discuss and ideate to re-frame problems and clear hurdles on specific challenges and roadblocks you face - a closed feedback loop for guidance, and to get/give advice on pathways to elevate your skill, widen your reach, form effective teams, etc.
► Learn real-context strategies and tactics that others have used to plan, build, and scale that can actually be used in work immediately
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Ideal if you are starting or have recently launched your company. If you are at any early/earlier stage of planning and launching your business, startup, social impact organization, nonprofit, or have recently gone live (congrats!) and are looking to grow and scale (to any degree), then this is a fit for you.
LIMITED SPOTS: Unlike Tech Socials and our other larger community events with hundreds attending, these are more intimate with limited spots for deeper engagement and to compel the sharing of more thought leadership. Founders/owners in financial hardship or who are otherwise unable to purchase tickets for this event, please get in touch.
EXPERIENCE & FIT: Intermediate to advanced familiarity with core business and commercial concepts will allow you to maximize the value you get and the level to which you contribute in sessions which are open, roundtable-style discussions and in the 1-on-1s. If you are completely new to business, startups and entrepreneurship, please connect with us so we can gauge the interest for running a separate, more fundamentals-centric set of events.

Registrations are now open here. These events will be accessible only through this link or via our meetup groups. A fixed number of 100 spots will be allocated per Tech Social, so jump on this quick!
Both the 1-on-1s and the group chat sessions will now run simultaneously throughout the 2-hour event, so you'll be able to jump from one to the other, at-will. We look forward to longer, deeper, and higher-quality conversations.
Tech Socials are agenda-free events that bring together passionate technologists to chat with like-minded people. No panels or speakers at this one, just an opportunity to meet others in the ecosystem. There's auto-matched 1-on-1s, group chat sessions, and you can directly chat with other guests or make video chat requests too. Don't miss this one - nice, friendly people from our tech nerd developer communities will come together.
WHAT TYPICALLY HAPPENS AT OUR EVENTS:
► 1-on-1s: Be automatically matched with other guests to talk directly on-camera for a few minutes (less if your convo ends faster, more if you extend); stay in touch with one click. Roll to the next person thereafter. Match only once with the same person. Direct video available too.
► Sessions: Small, group video chat sessions that emulate what happens at in-person events. Talk on-camera, hang, talk to others, use the chat thread, chill. Drop in/out when you want, up to 20 people can be on-camera together, and anyone can listen in as well as contribute/engage via the text chat threads, even if you're not on cam.
