Every year, somewhere around the third Saturday of September, hackers, free software users and open source adepts celebrate Software Freedom Day. HSBXL is marking it on Saturday 26 September with a full day of talks, followed by a communal dinner.
This year's theme is Organizing with FOSS: how people actually use free and open source software to run events, manage their work and personal lives, and keep control of their own data. Talks on other FOSS topics are welcome too, so expect a spread across privacy, open data and security.
Schedule
11:30 - doors open, coffee, hang out
13:00 - talks begin
Evening - communal dinner, with drinks and snacks throughout the day
The full talk schedule will be announced closer to the date.
Practical
Free as in freedom. No ticket needed, just show up.
HSBXL, Rue Osseghem 53, 1080 Molenbeek, Brussels.
Can't make it in person? There will be a live stream, link posted nearer the time.
