Hacking Health Cafes are monthly events held across various cities to bring together the digital health community. It provides for a casual environment where researchers, clinicians, patients, designers, developers and entrepreneurs can share their experiences, network and learn about the industry.
The goal is to foster relationships between healthcare experts and the technology talent in Waterloo Region. The idea is simple: hackers love to solve problems and the healthcare industry has plenty to go around.
Agenda for the evening:

• 7:00 - 8:00 pm: Intro, Presentations and Q/A

Speakers
Mohannad Hussain (https://ca.linkedin.com/in/mohannadhussain) is software/web developer with Agfa HealthCare (http://www.agfahealthcare.com/usa/en/main/). Mohannad will be sharing the Agfa story with our audience, "Agfa HealthCare…Who, Why and What?"
Sameer Ahmad Khan (https://www.linkedin.com/in/samkhan13) who is building a system called "Video Diary" for persons with neuro-degenerative conditions to view their daily activities to encourage themselves.
Saulo Rodrigues (https://br.linkedin.com/in/saulo-de-souza-rodrigues-915256), a visitor this week from the Hacking Health Ribeirão Preto team in São Paulo, Brazil, will speak to Hacking Health projects and needs in São Paulo.
Steven ten Holder (https://ca.linkedin.com/in/steven-ten-holder-379a294a) is a molecular biology student at the University of Waterloo. Steven co-founded the company Acorn Cryotech (http://acorncryotech.com/) that is creating a long-term human-cell cryopreservation service for storage of young people's cells to be used on their older selves in the future. The dream is that the company will become big enough to fund its own life-extension research.
