As announced at Stoke Newington Literary Festival, we’re hosting our first monthly in-person Peer Editors Group in Stoke Newington, London, this Thursday. This is open for anyone working on a novel who is looking for a supportive group to provide advice and help to take it forward, be it if you’re struggling with writer’s block or you’re looking to submit to a literary agent and want to bounce around some ideas.
Both Rose Diell and John McMenemie spoke of the importance of Writing Circles in helping writers develop at SNLitFest and as such we hope this monthly space will allow writers to convene and share their experiences. The format will be in two parts. The first hour we'll sit around and discuss a writing related topic. The first week this will be the challenges of writing a good opening and we can discuss issues we face or share examples of great openings which inspire us. We'll also obviously do some introductions and talk about what we are writing and any issues we are having. The second hour each month will be dedicated to peer reviewing a sample of our writing.
The group starts Thursday June 15th at 6.30pm at the Lady Mildmay pub on Newington Green. Those interested please email [info@indienovella.co.uk](https://substack.com/redirect/094b5f1a-a4c9-4c2c-bf0b-c4361d92ea81?j=eyJ1IjoiMjk0NTI2In0.G55qq-xkeJ5axGsyOLRLv5vM4LafejgpGQ9k_J-_kn8) - you can just turn up on the day, but if you email us in advance we can share any resources in advance.
