Intro to Cricut Vinyl Graphics with Feliks

Join us at HackPGH for a vinyl-stamping good time. Want to get started making and selling garments? Want to make your next gift extra-customized? Take this class which takes students through heat-set vinyl, graphic design, and vinyl cutters - all while making a fun craft! Each participant will leave with their own custom t-shirt.
Structure: This short class provides instruction on the following:
- How to use the Cricut Design Space and basic graphic software to make your own image and turn them into paths for your Cricut machines to cut!
- Using the Cricut Maker 3; although the skills are translatable to whatever Cricut or brand of vinyl cutter you're using
- Basics of Cricut safety, maintenance, and what all those accessories and tools are for
- Using the Cricut Autopress and EasyPress- two different models of heat presses
- Creating your own garments, gifts, and more with custom logos and images
- Different types of vinyl and how they are used
All materials are provided, including a HackPGH shirt that will be used for practice. However, feel free to bring your own (clean!) shirt or tote to customize.
Requirements: No experience required. Ages 13+, minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Date & Time: Sunday, March 22nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Cost: $50 for non-Members, $45 for HackPGH Members
