Miniature Painting Workshop w/Aaron
Details
This short class covers basic miniature painting techniques like dry brushing and paint blending. Specifically, we will be using the "Slap Chop" method of miniature painting. Also known as "Speed Painting", this method allows for quick and colorful results without the long wait times of most classical mini-painting techniques. Whether you bring your own figurine or select one of ours, we encourage you to be creative and paint them any way you'd like!
Students will leave with an understanding of the following:
- Different miniature paint types and brands
- Painting techniques
- Basic color theory
- Applying finishing products
Structure: We have a variety of unpainted miniature models to choose from, all game pieces for Tabletop Roleplaying Games. You may also bring your own miniature figurine to paint. Either way, each student will take home their own painted figurine. Bathrooms and free Wi-Fi available on premises. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bottled water are available from our coffee bar. Light snacks and sodas can be purchased from our vending machines.
Prerequisites: No previous miniature painting experience is required. All supplies including paints, brushes, miniatures, and finishes are provided by HackPGH.
