Intermediate Sewing: Make Flannel Pajama Shorts!

Want to feel the satisfaction of sewing your own clothing? Would you like to de-stress after your Black Friday shopping? Join us for an intermediate sewing class where you will expand your sewing skills while making a comfy pair of of flannel pajama shorts with elastic waistband!
Students will build on their existing sewing skills with woven fabrics as well as learn new ones such as:

• sewing "on grain"
• cutting out a pattern to size
• sewing straight and curved seams
• hemming
• adding elastic waistbands

Participants will get to choose from a selection of fun and seasonal flannels. Patterns are available in sizes XXS to Plus 3X.

Prerequisites: Students must have taken our Beginner or Beginners+ sewing class or have previous domestic sewing experience. Email us at info (at) hackpittsburgh (dot) org if you have any questions.

Cost: $95 for non-members, $85 for HackPGH members.

Be advised:

• Payment is due at time of registration. You must notify HackPGH if you wish to pay with cash.
• If payment is not received 72 hours before class time, your registration will be cancelled and we will move to the waitlist!
• No-shows will NOT be refunded.
• Please notify us if you cannot attend the class at least 48 hours before the class date!

Date and Time: Saturday November 28th from from 1:00pm to 5:30pm. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bottled water are all available from our coffee bar during breaks. Other snacks and drinks can be purchased from our vending machines.
