LED's for Holidays - Learn to Solder (and other neat stuff)

This kid friendly event will feature learning to solder on the HackRVA Blinky Badge. These are the same badges from the RVA Maker Fest and makers will be able to wear their new blinky flair all the way to the new year.

After that's finished, we'll solder more LED's into strands and grids until everyone has their fill of soldering for the day.

We will also be taking apart old electronics including an older 3D printer for the fun of seeing what's inside.

For those that can already solder, we'll be doing some light introduction to multimeter usage to round out the event.

It will be an all hands-on event with lots of free-form electronics learning activity.

The cost is $20 for visitors and up to 2 guests and covers the complete cost fo the workshop. So an adult with 2 children is only $20. Please add another guest for each additional person in your party.

This event is free for dues-paying HackRVA members and their families. (members please comment below just to let us know you're coming.)
