Take-Apart Party - Stripping Down Old Stuff to See Whats Inside

Details
Kid Encouraged Event
Come grab a soldering iron, screwdriver, pry bar, or hammer for a fabulous "Take-Apart Party"! We're getting destructive in the name of learning and recycling!
Taking things apart is a great way to examine the objects in our daily lives. This fun activity also grows your maker insight as you learn about components, assembly, and materials.
Many engineers, makers, and hackers participate in enlightened disassembly when they're young as a way to explore (aka, I took apart my toy, but don't know how it goes back together).
As adults we still enjoy a little controlled destruction for fun and learning. We also harvest the old parts to reuse in future projects.
A sample list of things we're taking apart:
3-D printer
Toys
Small Kitchen Appliances
Speakers
Home Electronics
Power Tools
And lots of random other items
Electronic thermos turned inside out(this thing was tough!):
