The XR path ahead

Details
In the future, interactive digital content will have much larger shoes to fill.
No longer confined to a phone screen, it will be as much a part of our lives as the decorations in our house or the street signs in our neighbourhood.
We’ll take a look at what XR tech now can tell us about the future of content consumption - and what skills we might need to make it.
Nathan spent more than a decade producing national TV programs for the ABC before becoming involved in XR production.
His first project was Kokoda VR, a 50 minute, fully immersive VR documentary that told the story of the Kokoda campaign to mark its 75th anniversary.
This production was released in 2017 and went on to be nominated for a Walkley Award for Innovative storytelling. Since then, he has established a permanent ABC XR working group and produced AR and VR experiences for all areas of the organisation. His aim is to deliver innovative content on XR & real-time digital platforms that gives audiences valuable experiences now & gives the ABC valuable experience for the future.
