Once again: How to scrape the internet for good info

Details
Yay! We've managed to convince our speakers to do this event again. Because so many people stranded on the waiting list and didn't get to come the first time.

How do you extract data from the web? And how do you use it for a great project? Join us for a web scraping themed night in the creative surroundings of Founders House in Copenhagen to find out.
Hacker Jens Christian Hillerup will tell us the basics of scraping the web for valuable information that you can’t find anywhere else. He will also talk about how to go from an idea to a successful scraping project.
With a handful of real life examples, former national police researcher Lars Underbjerg will join us. After working with trawling the web for child pornography, he has left the force to work on his own projects – all evolving around how to automate getting valuable information off the internet.
Afterwards, it’s time to get creative and learn some savvy tricks from each other and how you can use them in real life.
Both Jens Christian and Lars will stay through the night to help us out with cool tricks and troubleshooting.
Here’s the plan:
19.00: Welcome
19.15: Jens Christian Hillerup takes us through the basics of Web Scraping
19.45: Lars Underbjerg brings us real life examples
20.15: Break
20:30: Get hacking
21:40: Show and tell
22.00: See you next time
How to attend:
RSVP on this event before February 24th 2014.
Note that this event has a limit of 35 people attending. The event is free and it is first come, first serve. There will, however, be a no-show fee of 120 DKK.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
All the best,
The Event Team.
