Based on the successful annual Media Party Buenos Aires, and 2015’s inaugural Media Party Miami, Florida International University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication , FIU’s Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center, and Hacks/Hackers Miami are proud to present Media Party Miami from April 1-2, 2016.
This two-day event will feature insightful panels on media innovation and hands-on learning with leaders in U.S. and Latin American media. Media Party Miami will be the premiere showcase of digital innovation within Latin American and Hispanic media in the U.S., as well as an opportunity to share best practices among students and professionals in the U.S. and Latin America. Our goal is skill-building, cross-pollination and transnational bridge-building across the hemisphere. FIU-CARTA-SJMC offers its students forward-thinking education tied to cutting-edge media and technology innovation, and Media Party Miami is one example of it.
Join us on Friday, April 1 at the The LAB Miami in Wynwood for a day of talks, workshops and networking with media leaders across the U.S. and Latin America who are innovating for digital audiences. On Saturday, April 2, join us at The LAB for a hands-on hack day for learning and skill-sharing with experts in new media technologies and tools.
