OH 120: when Open Source meets Pharma and Medtech

Pour cet OpenHackuarium N°120 nous avons le plaisir de vous présenter deux projets open source orientés pharma et medtech. Le 1er projet présenté sera Epidemium. Né de la collaboration entre La Paillasse Paris et l'entreprise Roche, Epidermium est un programme de recherche scientifique participatif dédié à la compréhension du cancer grâce au big data.
Puis sera présenté, EchOpen, une communauté ouverte et collaborative, animée par un noyau pluridisciplinaire d'experts et de professionnels de haut niveau. Leur but est de concevoir un echo-stéthoscope (sonde échographique) ultra-portable et low-cost, assurant l'obtention d'une image echo-anatomique au moyen d'une sonde open hardware reliée à un smartphone. Un programme à la pointe des projets d'open-science actuelle à laquelle nous nous réjouissons d'assister!

• • • • • • • • • • • • • For our OpenHackuarium N°120 we have the great pleasure to welcome two pharma and medtech oriented open source projects. The 1st presented project is Epidemium. Born form the collaboration of La Paillasse Paris and Roche, Epidermium is a participatory scientific research project focused on the comprehension of cancer relying on big data.
                          Then, EchOpen, an open and collaborative community, moved by a core of multidisciplinary experts and highly skilled professionals will be presented. Their goal is to design a portative and low cost echo-stethoscope (echographic probe), ensuring the collection of echo-anatomic images from an open-hardware probe to any smartphone. A state of the art open-science program we are looking forward to take part of.
