Long, Scenic Walk - 7 Miles of Easy, Beautiful in New Hope

Details
What feels better than sunshine, good cardio, lovely sightseeing and friendly fellow walkers on an autumn day? You'll have all of that to enjoy on this lovely 7-mile loop that will take us from New Hope, to Lambertville, to Stockton then back to New Hope. Along the way there are river views, bridges over the Delaware, lovely cottages, forest and open fields. Midway, we stop at the little general store in Stockton for cold drinks and restrooms then back on the trail. I will provide light commentary at the start of our walk and then again midway about the history of the towns we will be moving through and the Towpath itself but the focus will be just enjoying this scenic walk.
This event is FREE. Gratuities are always cheerfully welcomed.
If it rains or if there are any changes to the event, please check this page for updates on the morning of our walk.
WHERE TO PARK:
You will find its easiest to park at one of the many public parking areas located throughout the town, especially near the major intersection at Bridge Street in New Hope. Please consider paying for 4-5 hours of parking instead of just 2 hours in case our hike goes a bit long or your time at Triumph Brewery delays you from getting back to your car before parking expires.
WHERE TO MEET:
At the NEW HOPE RAILROAD Station at 32 Bridge Street, New Hope 18938. Look for the antique trains of the New hope & Ivyland Railroad or ask any local for directions after you have parked in town - you won't be able to miss this favorite local attraction site.
WHAT TO BRING:
Dress in layers to be comfortable as the day warms or cools - consider a sun hat too or even bringing an umbrella for sun protection. :-) Bring water, sunglasses and sneakers or shoes you feel most comfortable walking in on dirt and gravel trails for long distances. The trail is relatively mosquito free at this time of day so you don't have to bring repellent.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Beautiful, scenic, heart pumping walk with ice cold beers as a reward at the end if you might like to head on over to Triumph Brewery's outdoor deck afterwards! We will exit the trail close to the brewery.
