Apache Sentry is a powerful open-source security solution for the Hadoop ecosystem, providing fine-grained role-based access controls (RBAC) to Hive and Impala. This talk will give an overview of the architecture and capabilities of Apache Sentry.

Bio:

Michael Ridley is a software and systems engineer with over 15 years experience in distributed and high performance computing environments. He has worked with commercial and government entities in a number of industries ranging from semiconductors to Internet e-commerce to defense. He is currently a Solutions Architect with Cloudera.
