Uno Platform

Peter is a senior platform developer for tombola. He also has development experience using Windows Forms, WPF, Silverlight, Windows Phone and Universal Windows Platform. The Uno Platform is an open-source platform that allows existing Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) developers to bring their existing C# and XAML skills to multiple platforms such as iOS, Android and Web using WebAssembly in modern browsers. Uno Platform also allows new developers to target those platforms more easily and without having to worry about the underlying implementation, as well as get native performance for all supported platforms.

In this presentation he will go into detail about the Uno Platform, its architecture and how you can get started, showing how to use the Playground to try out the platform features and how to use Visual Studio 2019 and the Uno Platform Solution Templates to create your own cross-platform experiences. He will demonstrate how you can port existing Universal Windows Platform examples to Uno Platform and show how you can start targeting the web with your applications.
