I’d like to share an event (the video is available indefinitely) that was put on by Woy Magazine. Woy Magazine is an online Haitian lifestyle magazine entirely bilingual (English and Kreyòl), that has articles by Haitians from Haiti and the diaspora with important and fun things to say. You Do Not have to pre-register for this event. It’s a recording.

For their #WoyChat series they had a panel with Professor Bayyinah Bello to discuss various topics on Haitian history and culture. The conversation touched upon Haiti’s forgotten griots and storytellers, the role of Haitian women in the Revolution and nation-building and the importance of understanding the true definition of culture.
