What we’re about
While everyone is welcome on board, this group particularly caters to the needs of Muslims who want to have halal fun. Halal in the sense that the activities don't involve anything that goes against Islamic teachings and that they are arranged so that prayer times are not missed. I'm new to Ottawa myself and I have an eclectic mix of ideas for activities we can do together including but not limited to:
- Visits to museums, galleries, and heritage sites
- Language exchange (English and French)
- Movie nights
- Walks and hikes (with a twist e.g.: geocaching and plogging)
- Dinners
- Art and craft workshops
- Picnics
I'm aiming for small-ish groups so we can get to know each other better. No fees for joining any events and I'll always try to make our outings budget-friendly as well.
