    Hi Guys. I touched on cloudflare and how useful it was for acting as a cdn but also as a optimiser for combining, minifying and loading of assets. I just wanted to mention that mod_pagespeed for apache is a great module for doing the same (minus the cdn) without the implications of a 3rd party service but also without the drudgery of setting up complicated deployment routines.

      AMD would only help with the js though ? There are other cloudflare alternatives - Incapsula I think also protects against sql injection and xss attacks. I think there are many options in this space - it all depends what you're doing, what skill set you have and what resources you have. I host a lot of wordpress, drupal and magento sites just being able to switch on mod_pagespeed and minify, combine, lazy load and optimise images is a huge win for so little effort.

      no. you can use various RequireJS plugins and techniques to also bundle templates, css and even images as base64 into the css, if this was your goal--all returned from the require factory afterwards. not saying you'd want to but it's a great way to package small widgets/components in isolation. as for automatic concatenation and minification - if it can deal with Jacob Thornton's dodgy js w/o ;, then fair enough.

    I've put my talk on Github with the link to Domenic Denicola's "You're Missing the Point of Promises" blog post in the last slide:

    Well, I'm certainly far from being such an authority on the subject like Mark, but can give a quick, practical introduction!

    There's something I'd like to get an intro on myself, is there anyone who has experience with a good, CI friendly JS code coverage tool? There seems to be a bunch of different ones out there, but I haven't got around to try and compare yet.

    We've received at least two people interested in giving lightning talks (including Daniel)... Mark Wubben gives an awesome talk about promises and deferreds fwiw, though I don't think he's available on Tuesday.

    .then(function (speakersResponse, peopleResponse) {
    return peopleResponse.checkEnoughInterest();
    }).done(function (interestResponse) {
    if(interestResponse.length > 5) {
    } });

    In other words, happy to prepare a quick talk on Deferreds / Promises if there's enough interest :)
