About the speakers:

Dimitris Michalakos

Dimitris is a software engineer, with 10+ years experience in web technologies, from back-end to front-end. He's currently working as a Lead Developer at Causaly and serving as president of the GreeceJS Association for 2018-2020. He has 2 kids and no pets. He gets furious when people touch his laptop screen - he perceives it as the direct equivalent of sticking their dirty thumb in his eye.

Srushtika Neelakantam

Srushtika handles DevRel for Ably Realtime. She is a passionate tech advocate, with a keen interest in real-time and web technologies! She is a regular speaker at tech conferences worldwide and a co-author of “Learning Web-Based Virtual Reality” published by Apress. She is a champion of the open web who officially supported by Mozilla's Tech speaker and Reps programs.

Next.js and the pursuit of happiness

What is Next.js, which are the technologies involved and how do you use it? Most importantly why would you use Next.js and how do you make decisions in general as a software engineer?

The DNA of data streams

Heard of data streams? Of course! But do you know how they work or how to build a stream for your own data? In this talk, we’ll understand the DNA of data streams and look at various tools and platforms using which you can stream your own data in just a few minutes.

CityJSConf 2019

CityJSConf is a one day conference, a joint event from the London's JavaScript meetups, including London JS Community, London JS Monthly, HalfStack and London Node User Group. The event this year will run on the 3rd of May at Curzon Soho.

Prior to the event there will be two days (1st and 2nd of May) of workshops free to everyone, hosted at Google Campus and Microsoft Reactor.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for the JavaScript community to meet great local and international speakers and share their experience with modern JavaScript development.
