Halifax Data Science Meetup – August 2018

Hi everyone,

Come talk data science with us on August 29th! We'll meet up at 6:00 pm, and kick off talks at around 6:30 pm.

Talks:

1. Faisal Dosani — Open sourcing data science tools
   Hear about the journey involved in open sourcing data tools at Capital One.

2. Building a weeding robot with a deep learning vision system and further applications of machine learning. We will explain the huge demand for automation in the agriculture industry (Teric) and focus on our development of a fully autonomous weeding robot (Jad). This will include some overview of deep machine learning as analytic tool in data science (Thomas). Speakers Teric Greenan, Thomas Trappenberg / Jad Tawil, Nexus Robotics Inc.
