We wanted a community where developers and designers of all skill-levels and interests could come together and freely discuss everything web, front to back. So we made it, it's called HFX.js.

Laura is a Full Stack Developer at TELUS. She made the transition from bartender to dev after completing a coding bootcamp in 2020. Laura is passionate about fostering growth in the Halifax tech community through volunteering, mentorship and coaching.

I am a graduate of NSCC's IT Web Development program at the Truro Campus, class of 2021. Currently employed as a Security Officer for the Commissionaires, I am actively engaged in programs aimed at enhancing my skills for reentry into the IT industry. Notably, I am finding success and revitalizing my programming skills through participation in the Get Coding program, enabling me to pursue projects that align with my passions.
