Join Red Hat for our Mission-Critical Automation Workshop, a dynamic 3.5-hour hands-on experience designed to introduce you to Ansible Automation Platform and to immerse you in the journey of a new automator joining a team. You'll progress from using automation for information gathering to maturing your automation journey and building responsive automation that prevents and mitigates outages, minimizes downtime, and ensures mission-critical workloads remain operational.
Who is this workshop best for?
This workshop is intended as an introductory course for using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. This workshop exposes you to the life of an automator as they mature through their automation journey. The intended audience is someone who has limited or no exposure to writing Ansible Playbooks or using Ansible Automation Platform . This workshop will cover common operations-based scenarios and topics and is best suited for IT infrastructure engineers or IT managers looking to experience the maturing automating journey.
Agenda:
The workshop provides three evolving scenarios that will cover:
- Introspection with Infrastructure Awareness
- Participants experience automation without affecting production systems
- Automating filesystem back ups and snapshots for Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Using Ansible to automate infrastructure awareness and compliance reporting
- Generating patching reports for Windows Server
- Standardization and Application deployment
- Participants experience standardizing an environment and deploying applications.
- Standardization of configuration and applications on infrastructure
- Automating and integrating Active Directory for the environment
- Deploying production applications to multiple systems
- Operational efficiency and Mission Critical automation
- Participants experience automating resiliency in the environment with the use of Event-Driven Ansible.
- Utilizing Event-Driven Ansible to safe guard from production application failure
- Automating fact gathering and consistent troubleshooting with network failure
- Integrating Red Hat Insights and managing vulnerabilities to our infrastructure
Attendee Prerequisites
- A basic understanding of enterprise infrastructure.
- Attendees must bring/use a laptop with ADMIN rights
- Must bring/use a laptop with Chrome 73+, Firefox 60+, Edge 40+, or Safari 12+installed.
