From Itzehoe to Nordoe Inland Dunes (18 km / easy)

Dear hikers, when was the last time you visited the inland dunes of Nordoe? No matter what your answer is, the next time could be on Saturday next week if you want to join me on a leisurley hike. After leaving Itzehoe, we'll follow the Stör River on the dike, cross Münsterdorf and the Münsterdorf Forest to reach the Nordoer Inland Dunes. There we'll walk back and forth until we are sure that we have not missed any of the lovely paths and views before we continue to Kremperheide station to take the train back to Hamburg.

If you want to join, please bring your own food and drinks as needed for the day, there are no options to stock up in between. We will move at a unhurried pace and take two breaks along the way. Sure-footedness is required and sturdy shoes are recommended.

We'll meet at 10:55 at Hamburg Hbf on platform 13, section F, below the sign 'F' and take the train RB61 to Itzehoe at 11:06. The train usually departs from platform 13 D-F, but check the displays for any changes on Saturday. Our backtrip by train will start in Kremperheide most likely at 18:00 and should take us back to Hamburg Hbf at 18:54. The trip is covered by Deutschland-Ticket. Without D-Ticket an HVV 5-ring day-ticket is the best option.

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will get banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me to cover the costs of this group. Nobody is expected to give, only do it if you can afford and if you like to. Look out for the violet donation box towards the end of the hike.
