Baltic Sea Hike from Eckernförde to Strande (32 km / hard)

Moin! Would someone like to accompany me on a somewhat longer Baltic Sea hike this coming Saturday? We'll start in Eckernförde and walk along the coast toward Kiel, often on the cliffs with beautiful views, otherwise on the beach over sand and rocks, until we reach Strande after about 32 km. This is a wonderful but strenuous tour for physically fit and sporty hikers, especially in summer when it can be warm. But we'll certainly find time for a dip in the refreshing Baltic Sea along the way. If you're joining, please bring all the food and drinks you'll need for the day.

We'll meet at 8:10 at Hamburg Hbf on platform 7, section H, below the sign 'H', and take the train RE70 to Kiel at 8:22. The train usually departs from platform 7 H-I, but check the displays for any changes on Saturday. After changing train in Kiel we'll reach our starting point, Eckernförde station, at 10:09. The plan is to be back in Hamburg by 21:16, but this may vary depending on our walking speed and length of breaks. The trip is covered by the Deutschlandticket, without D-Ticket the Schleswig-Holstein-Ticket is the best option.

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will be banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
