summer baltic sea and beach hike from neustadt to timmendorf (20 km, easy)

is there anything more beautiful than the baltic sea in summer?
not in this country and not in this lifetime.

the first part of our baltic sea trip from grömitz to neustadt is behind us. today we will continue our baltic hike from neustadt to timmendorfer strand. we'll first take the train at 9:06 a.m. from hamburg central station to lübeck. there we'll change trains and continue to neustadt, arriving there at 10:50 a.m. for the journey back to hamburg, we plan to take the train at 4:05 p.m. or later. from timmendorfer strand. trains depart every 30 minutes at :05 and :35.

you will need a deutschland ticket or a db single ticket. detailed timetable see below.

the route takes us along the endless baltic sea beach, passing through the tourist towns of sierksdorf, haffkrug, and scharbeutz to timmendorfer strand. at the end oft he tour we'll visit the new pier in timmendorfer strand.

we plan to take a leisurely hike either directly along the beach or on the promenades in the tourist locations. we'll have enough time to take a long break and several short breaks along the way, either directly on the beach or in a shady spot.

the route is approximately 20 km long, and we'll hike for about four hours at a leisurely summer beach hike.

please bring something nice to eat and drink. you'll also have the opportunity to buy something to drink or something to eat along the way. because you can't pay with card or paypal everywhere, please bring enough cash. if you want to swim in the baltic sea, don't forget your swimsuit.

please only register if you can really make it. if something comes up, please cancel by thursday.
