summer baltic sea and beach hike from timmendorf to travemünde (17 km, easy)

Dear hikers,

today i'd like to continue our journey along the baltic sea coast. after the first two hikes from grömitz to neustadt and from neustadt to timmendorf, today we'll continue from timmendorf via niendorf and the brodten cliffs (brodtener steilküste) to lübeck-travemünde strand.

we'll first take the 9:06 a.m. train from hamburg central station to lübeck. there we'll change trains and continue to timmendorfer strand. we'll arrive in timmendorf at 10:25 a.m.

for the return journey, we'll take the 5:03 p.m. train in travemünde. trains depart every 30 minutes at :03 and :34.

we'll start with a visit to the new pier in timmendorfer strand and then make our way along the baltic sea coast to beautiful niendorf. in niendorf the picturesque harbor awaits us and offers us the opportunity to fortify ourselves with something delicious to eat, to drink, or a delicious ice cream. we continue our journey to the pier in niendorf and the brodten cliffs (brodtener steilküste) all the way to lübeck-travemünde beach. after timmendorf and niendorf, we'll visit the third pier in travemünde.

if we still have time and power, we can take a ferry ride across the trave river and make a short detour to priwall.

we plan to take a leisurely hike either directly along the beach or on the hikung trail. we'll have enough time to take a long break and several short breaks along the way, either directly on the beach or in a shady spot.

the route is approximately 17 km long, and we'll hike for about 3 - 4 hours at a leisurely summer beach hike.

please bring something to eat and drink for you. you'll also have the opportunity to buy something to drink or something to eat along the way. because you can't pay with card or paypal everywhere, please bring enough cash. if you want to swim in the baltic sea, don't forget your swimsuit.
