dear hikers,

a significant event casts his shadow ahead - happy new year 2026.
i would like to toast with you the new year 2026 on january 1st, 2026 at 12 noon.

let´s go and do the first hike of the year together.
we meet at 12 noon in the hamburg harbour at u s landungsbrücken on the bridge.

we first hike through the old elbtunnel to the other side of the elbe. from steinwerder we will have a wonderful view to the elbe and the silhouette of the most beautiful city in the world.

we can stay there for a while and and have some drinks left over from new year's eve and look forward to a great new year in 2026. it would be nice if everyone brings something small to drink and something small to eat.

then we make our way along the elbe to the end of the world.
and this all is on our way:

the st. pauli landungsbrücken, the old elbtunnel, the view from steinwerder to the silhouette of our city, the fischmarktauktionshalle, the banks of the elbe, övelgönne, a small, narrow street with former captains' houses, the elbe beach and the elbe hiking trail to teufelsbrück.

we can go back to landungsbrücken via finkenwerder by ferry. the distance is ca. 7,5 km.

for those who don't want to overdo it on january 1st, you can stop hiking anytime and anywhere. there are a several bus stops and the boat dock in övelgönne along the hiking route.

if it rains heavily or there's an earthquake that day, i'll cancel the tour one day in advance and offer an alternative date at january 1st, 2027.
