Black Mountains and Heathland on Sunday Afternoon (15 km / easy)

Details
Dear hikers, just in time for the peak of the heather blossom season, we take this hike through some of the most stunning heathland landscapes in Northern Germany. And fortunately for us, these landscapes, Fischbek Heath and Wunstorf Heath, are just outside the gates of the city of Hamburg. This is a beginner-friendly hike at a reasonable pace, but we will use some small, bumpy and possibly muddy paths. And there are some steep (thankfully short) climbs that can easily get you out of breath. Bring your own food and drinks as needed.
Starting point for this hike is the station S Neuwiedenthal. We will meet in front of the exit Rehrstieg. If you join by train, make sure to arrive at 13:01 at latest. We will wait for this train in case it is delayed, but not for later ones. End point is at the station S Fischbek. Neuwiedenthal and Fischbek are both within the AB-area of HVV.
Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will be banned from the group.
As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
