Do We Need Struggle to Feel Fulfilled?

Details

Hello everyone. Welcome to our exciting new gathering! Our primary goal is to create a space where kindred spirits come together to engage in thought-provoking conversations, and forge meaningful connections along the way. At our events, we love to delve into the profound and the curious, so you won't find us engaging in small talk. Prepare for stimulating discussions on philosophical topics that will inspire your curiosity. Plus, we'll be conversing in English, making it an inclusive experience for everyone.

In a world that constantly pushes us toward comfort, convenience, and instant gratification, we rarely stop to ask ourselves a deeper question: Do we actually need struggle to feel truly fulfilled?

For many people, satisfaction is elusive. Achievements may feel hollow, dreams can seem always out of reach, and even success doesn’t always bring happiness. Is this because fulfillment is inherently tied to the effort, the journey, and the obstacles we overcome? Could it be that without challenge—without struggle—life loses its depth, meaning, and sense of purpose?

This event invites us to explore the complex relationship between struggle, meaning, and fulfillment. Why do some people thrive in adversity while others feel lost without a challenge? Does the ease of modern life come at the cost of emotional and existential satisfaction? And when does struggle stop being enriching and start becoming destructive?

Together, we’ll reflect on:

  • Whether the human spirit is wired to seek challenge.
  • Why ease doesn’t always equal happiness.
  • How the pursuit of dreams, despite setbacks, gives shape to our identity.

Join us for an open, philosophical discussion where personal experience, reflection, and curiosity will lead the way. This isn’t about finding definite answers—but about deepening our understanding of what makes life feel truly meaningful.

> New Attendance Policy:

To ensure that the events run smoothly and everyone has a chance to participate, I want to remind you of the attendance policy. I value your commitment to respecting each other's time and effort in organizing these gatherings. I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and plans can change. However, to maintain the quality of my events, I kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to the following policy:

If you are unable to attend an event, please cancel your RSVP as soon as possible.
In the case of three unjustified no-shows (not canceled and no communication), a member may be subject to removal from the group.

IMPORTANT: I want everyone to express their opinions and participate at the conversation so I, as organizer, will moderate the group and I will intervene if the situation is getting chaotic, if some members have no chance to talk or if somebody will act rudely or take over the conversation. Everyone deserves the chance to talk and share their ideas, still respecting other people’s opinions, without ruining the harmony of the group.

If you have questions, you can contact me. You can still join the waiting list and I'll add you but don't forget to subscribe. It's very important. If you are in the waiting list and I haven't added you, send me a message and ask for permission.
