** Process Mining with R

Process Mining has gained some popularity in recent years. In this talk the method as well as the implementation in software will be discussed. The presentation includes:

• Process Mining (definitions, procedures, problems, ...)
• Special software solution
• Realization in R
• Economic examples
• Social aspects and effects of process mining

About the speaker: Rainer Feldmann is the CEO of the QA GmbH (Quantitative Analysen Krämer Feldmann GmbH; https://www.qa-gmhb.de). After finishing his Diplom in economics with a strong focus on statistics (including econometrics, time series analysis and game theory) he worked for several consultancies in projects related to statistics (Rent index, forecasting, simulations, etc.). Since he founded QA GmbH with Walter Krämer in 1999, he worked on consulting projects with strong quantitative aspects. In recent years he became interested in "Innovations powered by Statistics" and "Statistics for Audit and Taxes" (XING Group R in der Revision i.G.). Additionally he authored a series of articles related to the topic "Denken mit Statistik".
His current R related course offerings include the topics "Denken und Argumentieren mit Daten", "Einführung in R", "Statistik mit R", "Text -, Process - & Sequence Mining mit R", "Visualisieren mit R", "Data Science mit R (aka Tidyverse)", "Fraud Detection mit R", "Massendatenanalysen mit R".

Data science is becoming ubiquitous with numerous applications in almost every modern business. However, the field is evolving very fast and there are various success stories around applying data science. This lightning talk gives a short insight about using R in product management. The speaker will share his experience on applying R in his daily business life and building a data science team in a startup.

About the speaker: Alireza is a Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at JobMatchMe GmbH, a company that allows millions of people to apply to matching job offers in a matter of minutes. Additionally, he teaches research methods and R programming at the Fresenius University of applied sciences in Hamburg.
